Slick City Action Park, the world’s first indoor slide park featuring proprietary dry-slide technology, has announced Roc Solid Foundation as its official national charitable partner. United by a shared belief in the power of play, the two organizations will work together to bring moments of joy and hope to children and families facing pediatric cancer through backyard playset builds, fundraising and community initiatives nationwide.

With 50 parks currently open nationwide and more than 50 additional locations expected to open in 2027, Slick City’s rapidly growing footprint creates an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in communities across the country. A key reason Slick City has partnered with Roc Solid is the organization’s nationwide reach and ability to support children and families directly in the communities where Slick City parks operate. With more than 600 children currently on Roc Solid’s waiting list for backyard playsets, the partnership will engage Slick City park owners, team members and guests in helping bring the joy of play to more families in need.
“What kid doesn’t love going down a slide?” said Bron Launsby, co-founder and CEO of Slick City. “At Slick City, we get to see the joy that something as simple as a slide can bring to kids and families every day. But for children fighting cancer, a trip to one of our parks isn’t always possible. Partnering with Roc Solid gives us the opportunity to bring that same excitement right to their own backyards. ‘Love Our Community’ is one of our core values, and I can’t think of a better way to bring that value to life than helping create moments of joy for children and families in the communities we serve.”
The partnership will officially kick off on December 15, 2026, at Slick City’s new corporate-owned location in Austin, Texas. Slick City team members will join Roc Solid Foundation to build a backyard playset in the park’s parking lot for a local Austin child fighting cancer. Once the playset is complete, the child and their family will be welcomed to the park for a special surprise reveal before the playset is transported to their home for permanent installation.
A second playset build is planned for early 2027 at a new franchised Slick City location in Fenton, Missouri, benefiting a local child in the St. Louis area. The two kickoff events demonstrate how both corporate and franchise-owned parks can participate in the partnership and create meaningful experiences for families in the communities they serve.
Beginning in early 2027, Slick City will also introduce Round Up for Roc Solid fundraising campaigns at participating parks, giving guests the opportunity to round up their purchases and donate the difference to Roc Solid Foundation.
“As a childhood cancer survivor, I know firsthand how important it is for kids to experience the joy of play, especially during treatment,” said Eric Newman, founder and CEO of Roc Solid Foundation. “Play gives kids a chance to just be kids, even when they’re facing some of life’s toughest challenges. That’s what makes this partnership with Slick City so special. We both understand the power of play and the impact it can have on a child’s life. We’re incredibly grateful for Slick City’s support in helping us bring that joy right into the backyards of more kids fighting cancer across the country.”
